Remembrance - Reconciliation - Commemoration
EVENTS OF 2020/2021
Events were somewhat restrained due to Covid19 restrictions but we were able to go ahead with some events on a smaller scale than in previous years. These events were mainly focused around the 80th Anniversary of the sinking of Wellington N2980 into Loch Ness in December 1940 whilst on a training exercise. This aircraft took part in the Battle of Heligoland Bight in December 1939 as part of 149 Squadron. and is the only surviving Wellington that was active in WW2. Please see the Loch Ness Wellington page on this website and the H39 Newsletter below for further details.
